Dani Beavers
Dani BeaversStudent Placement and Scheduling Coordinator, as well as our Resident Reading and Writing Czar (and math for those who hate math!)

Dani Beavers grew up in Middletown, MD where she couldn’t wait to leave the pristine rolling hills and see more of the world beyond the beltway of Washington, D.C. She ventured to the Midwest to attend college at Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI where she majored in Business Management and Professional Communications. From there her restless ways took her west to Frisco, CO where she has been for the past 14 years. During this time, she has worked as an insurance agent, ski tech, waitress, bookseller and substitute teacher. She completed her Masters degree in Secondary Education through the University of Phoenix and taught at Silverheels Middle School in Fairplay, CO. She is excited to be working once again in her community rather than trekking over Hoosier Pass each day.

Paula Parker
Paula ParkerHigh School Math Wizard

Paula is from Golden, CO but spent the majority of her time in Summit County, starting in about 1969 or so.  After graduating from CU-Boulder with a degree in Engineering, she moved to Frisco to be a ski bum looking for a “real” job.  After working as a building inspector, environmental health inspector (ick), land use planner, and 15 years as Director of Team Summit or its former parts, Paula is now an Associate Broker at ReMax and part owner of Podium Sports in Frisco. Paula became part of the CLC family way back in the beginning, connecting ski racers who needed help in math, with the best tutors in the community!

Cynthia DurlooEngineering Mastermind

Cynthia Durloo grew up in Metairie, LA just outside of New Orleans. After graduating from the University of New Orleans with a BS is Secondary Math Education she taught in the suburbs of New Orleans for 5 years. While in New Orleans Cynthia continuously was playing volleyball, swimming, biking and doing as many outdoor activities as possible. The desire to be outside brought her to Summit County in 2000. With this move, she decided to venture into a new career and received her BS in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. Cynthia worked in the oil and gas industry as well as in architectural engineering design for 4 years. For the past two years she has stayed at home with her two girls and recently joined Colorado Learning Connections in April, 2011. She is very excited to be working at CLC near home rather than driving over Vail Pass.

Alyssa Geiger
Alyssa Geiger

Alyssa grew up in the densely populated state of New Jersey with 4 sisters.  She attended college in Philadelphia at Drexel University where she got her master’s degree in civil engineering.  While at Drexel, she participated in the concrete canoe team (yes, it floated and yes she got to race in it!) and got to travel all over the US.  After college, she worked for a multi-disciplinary engineering firm in King of Prussia, PA doing work for universities, health institutions, and private clients.  Her favorite part of the job was going into the field to do surveying work.  On a ski trip in 2005 to Summit County, her now husband proposed to her in the backbowls of Vail.  It was on that trip that she realized the mountains were her home.  So in 2008, Alyssa and her husband packed up their belongings, 2 cats and said goodbye to the east coast to move to Silverthorne.  They have loved every minute of living here and it is now home.  She volunteers at the animal shelter and loves to play volleyball.  She is very excited to be tutoring at CLC.
